thyssenkrupp Aerospace celebrates We Care Day 2019

Every year around two million men and women lose their lives as a result of accidents and illnesses related to their work. The United Nations has established the World Day for Safety and Health at Work to raise global awareness of workplace injury prevention.

It is an awareness-raising campaign to draw international attention to the extent of work-related injuries, illnesses and deaths worldwide.

Every year at the end of April, thyssenkrupp shows that occupational safety is an absolute top priority: To this end, thyssenkrupp launched We Care Day. On this day, all employees are encouraged to spend part of their working day dealing with the topic and carrying out activities.

Safety first

This year's We Care Day was about the big question of why we risk accidents and illnesses in situations where we actually know how to do better and safer. On the occasion of World Health and Safety Day there were many actions all over the world. This was also the case at thyssenkrupp Aerospace. For example, the team in Bourges, France, presented an interesting day with lots of information on the subject to its employees. For example, the employees were able to wear glasses that suggest that they are under the influence of alcohol or medication. The following Parcours was for many participants a large challenge and made clearly clear that already small quantities alcohol can have bad effects.
