A new Headquarters
The decision has been made. To mark the beginning of a new chapter in its history, thyssenkrupp Elevator will move from the Quartier in Essen to a new location in Düsseldorf. The new location – near the airport – reflects the requirements of an internationally active brand. New Office concepts provide modern way of close collaboration.
thyssenkrupp Elevator prepares to move to its new headquarters in Düsseldorf. In terms of distance, it will not be a big move, the new building is located only around 30 kilometers from the thyssenkrupp Quarter. And yet it will be a big step, as thyssenkrupp Elevator is opening a new chapter as a stand-alone company that aspires to build on its positioning as a leading international provider for urban mobility.
In the first quarter of 2021, about 400 colleagues will be moving to their new offices in the Wings Building in the immediate vicinity of the international Düsseldorf airport. This will also make visits by our international colleagues easier and more cost-effective.
On more than 9,000 sqm, the thyssenkrupp Elevator employees will be able to find new ways to collaborate in bright and spacious offices that are tailor-made for the needs and requirements of the workforce. In addition to its office spaces there are a mere 500 sqm of outdoor area where colleagues can meet and exchange ideas.
“The relocation reflects our independence as a global company. Moreover, it provides us with the opportunity to create headquarters that are precisely designed to meet the criteria of a modern and efficient globally operating company while giving us the chance to open up many new perspectives regarding the way of working for our employees,” says Peter Walker, CEO of thyssenkrupp Elevator.
The headquarters will meet the needs of our colleagues and represents us as a modern and efficient globally operating company. And rest assured that our distinctive Elevator spirit will be transferred to our new home to continue our successful journey forward.
